Christie Digital Systems has announced the appointment of Hideaki Takizawa as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 1st April 2025. This pivotal role sees Takizawa reporting directly to Michael Phipps, the President and Chief Operating Officer. He will be responsible for aligning Christie’s financial strategy with its long-term goals, overseeing internal controls, and ensuring effective reporting to fuel the company’s ongoing growth and innovation.
Takizawa brings with him over 34 years of extensive experience in business management and finance, with a distinguished career at Ushio. “We are excited to have Hideaki join us as we continue to strengthen our presence in the industry, enhance customer partnerships and create innovative AV solutions,” said Phipps. “His leadership and financial acumen will be invaluable as we continue to execute our strategic vision and drive long-term success.”
Before his appointment at Christie, Takizawa served as the General Manager of the Business Management Division at Ushio Group. In this capacity, he oversaw the company’s Accounting, Finance, and Legal departments. His leadership at Ushio was instrumental in improving corporate governance and fine-tuning the financial strategies that supported the company’s ambitious 2030 business growth objectives, all while focusing on enhancing capital efficiency.
