Check Point introduces a Harmony SASE instance in India to improve company cybersecurity and compliance

For its Harmony Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform, Check Point Software Technologies has introduced a data residency instance located in India. The initiative’s goal is to create scalable, compliant network security solutions that are supplied via the cloud and comply with India’s regulatory standards.

Firewall-as-a-service (FWaaS), secure web gateway, zero-trust network access (ZTNA), SaaS protection, and SD-WAN are all combined into Harmony SASE, a comprehensive cloud security platform. With a 99% threat detection rate and AI-driven security features to proactively stop malware, phishing, and unusual activity, the platform is powered by Check Point’s ThreatCloud.

The hybrid security architecture provides deep insight into SaaS apps, high-performance networking, and 10x quicker secure access by combining cloud-based and on-device safeguards.

In Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, and New Delhi, Check Point has set up specialized infrastructure to provide low latency access and compliance with Indian data protection regulations. The launch provides a security architecture that is ready for compliance and complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and regulatory requirements from the RBI, IRDAI, and TRAI.

“India is at the forefront of global digital transformation—and as the threat landscape grows more complex, security can no longer be an afterthought,” said Sundar Balasubramanian, managing director, Check Point Software Technologies, India & South Asia.

According to Check Point’s Threat Intelligence Report, cybersecurity threats have increased in India, with firms seeing more than 3,200 assaults each week, which is more than the worldwide average. Harmony SASE is designed to reduce these risks and improve security for the government, healthcare, telecom, and BFSI industries.
