Caxton appointed Henry Allen as a Chief Financial Officer

Henry Allen, a former Octopus executive, has been appointed as the new chief financial officer (CFO) of Caxton, a travel card and currency company located in the United Kingdom.

Trevor Price, the company’s CFO since September 2016, is replaced by Allen. He will be employed by the Caxton Group, which includes the kid money app Nimbl, which was purchased from ParentPay in April 2023. Allen has long held the position of CFO for businesses including TipJar, Augmentive, Inicio AI, and, most recently, Fleetsmart, a fleet management software.

Prior to these experiences, Allen held positions in many Octopus Group divisions, including finance director for Octopus Wealth, head of commercial finance for Octopus Labs, and head of ventures and renewables financing for Octopus Investments. After being bought by Octopus in 2023, he went on to lead operations at Seccl before becoming the head of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).

According to the firm, plans to “reintroduce the brand in 2026 with a bold repositioning strategy” align with the most recent appointment. The specifics of this most recent reintroduction have not yet been revealed. According to Companies House documents, the firm changed its name from Caxton FX to Caxton Payments in August 2022 from its original name.

The firm offers retail and family office services in addition to API-based payroll, expense management, foreign exchange, bulk payments, and other B2B solutions.
