Cautio Secures $1.8 Million to Strengthen AI Telematics and Boost Road Safety in India

AI-powered video telematics startup Cautio has raised $1.8 million in a new funding round, led by Amal Parikh, with additional backing from 8i Ventures, AU Small Finance Bank, Venture Catalysts, Vibha Chetan (Cheravi Ventures), Raveen Sastry (Multiply Ventures), Vivekananda Hallekere (Bounce) and Nishchay AG (JAR).

This latest investment brings Cautio’s total seed round funding to $3 million, following an earlier raise of $1.2 million in April. The fresh capital will be directed towards strengthening research and development, scaling up its artificial intelligence capabilities, and expanding its service and deployment infrastructure across India.

Founded by Ankit Acharya and Pranjal, Cautio focuses on providing AI-powered dashcams designed specifically for fleet operators. These smart dashcams deliver real-time safety alerts, allowing drivers and operators to take timely action and prevent road accidents. The technology plays a vital role in enhancing the safety of public transport vehicles, school buses, and commercial fleets.

Cautio’s predictive analytics and real-time alert systems help identify risks instantly, making it easier for fleet managers to respond proactively. By focusing on accident prevention, the company aims to create safer roads and reduce traffic-related incidents across the country.

Currently, Cautio operates in 46 cities and works with over 60 clients, underlining its growing presence in the fleet management and road safety technology space.

With the newly raised funds, the startup is set to accelerate AI enhancements and expand nationwide, further solidifying its mission to reduce road accidents through intelligent, real-time video telematics.
