Carelon Global Solutions Philippines has expanded its operations with the launch of a new site at SM Strata Tower 1 in Mandurriao, Western Visayas. The move marks the company’s fifth location in the region and strengthens its commitment to growing its capabilities and workforce in the healthcare information management services sector.
Nicki Agcaoili, Chief Country Executive of Carelon Global Solutions Philippines, led the inauguration and emphasized the significance of the expansion. “This expansion in office space supports not only the goal for Western Visayas to become the HIMS capital of the world, but also signifies the next phase in Carelon’s growth with enhanced capabilities, increased capacity, and deeper investment in innovation and talent development in the region,” said Agcaoili.
Earlier this year, the company also opened its Innovation Hub in Taguig, designed to promote creativity and collaboration among employees.
Along with new facilities, Carelon Global Solutions Philippines announced an increase in its service offerings. From around 80 capabilities in the previous year, the organization now provides close to 100. Agcaoili explained that these capabilities are distributed strategically across different locations to support business continuity and talent development. “This enhancement in services is part of the larger goal to provide opportunities for and nurture the world-class Filipino workforce,” he added.
Carelon is actively working with local government units in Iloilo and nearby cities to develop talent and support Western Visayas in becoming the top choice for HIMS. Agcaoili shared, “With the way Western Visayas is positioned right now, with the infrastructure, innovations, and demand, we’re well projected to be the HIMS capital.”
The company is also focused on inclusive hiring, welcoming senior citizens and persons with disabilities into its workforce. Carelon expects to reach its target of 10,000 full-time employees this year, including 5,000 in Iloilo alone.
Carelon Global Solutions Philippines was recently ranked the 9th Best Workplace in the Philippines in the category for companies with more than 1,000 employees. It was also listed 15th among the Best Workplaces in IT-BPM 2025. The company has been certified as a Great Place To Work for five consecutive years.
In Solaia: The IT-BPM Awards 2025, Carelon was named a finalist in three categories: Global Capability Center of the Year, Company for Regional Development of the Year, and HIMS Company of the Year.
