AI-Driven CADDi Lands $38M to Streamline Manufacturing Data Management

Japanese AI startup CADDi Inc. has successfully secured $38 million in funding to enhance its AI data platform, which helps manufacturing firms streamline their parts procurement processes.

Established in 2017, CADDi specializes in AI-driven software that analyzes technical documents—like blueprints, PDFs, and specification sheets—and integrates with company supply chains to identify the components used by manufacturers. Often, this information is unstructured and dispersed throughout various stages of production, leading to inefficiencies in supply and value.

The AI developed by CADDi captures insights from manufacturing and business operations, making them easily searchable. It can even detect duplicate parts across different documents. By linking purchasing data with technical drawings and processes, it aids in supplier selection and negotiation, facilitating value analysis.

“We have seen tremendous demand from global companies for our software platform due to the tangible, immediate ROI we can provide them with, turbocharging their AI-driven operational transformations,” said CADDi co-founder and Chief Executive Yushiro Kato.

Kato went on to comment that recent geopolitical strife, such as tariffs, has further complicated supply chain management for manufacturing companies. “Our AI platform is well positioned to help companies across the world navigate these challenges,” he added.

CADDi has expanded its AI platform to serve over 100 clients, including major manufacturing firms such as the Japanese multinational Hitachi Ltd., motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., automobile producer Subaru Corp., and semiconductor company Tokyo Electron Ltd.
