In a significant development for the premium dining space, vegetarian restaurant chain Burma Burma has raised over ₹38 crore, taking its valuation to ₹500 crore. The funding round included participation from existing investor Negen Capital, along with new investors Endurance Capital and Coheron Wealth.
The investment highlights strong confidence in the brand’s unique positioning and consistent performance. Over the last 3 years, Burma Burma’s valuation has grown from ₹150 crore to ₹500 crore, driven by steady expansion and improving unit economics.
Founded in 2012, the company currently operates 21 restaurants across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. It has carved a niche with its focused Burmese cuisine and premium vegetarian dining experience.
Burma Burma reported annual recurring revenue of over ₹200 crore, with around 50% CAGR growth over the past 3 years. In FY25, it achieved outlet-level profitability of over 21% and an EBITDA margin of around 8%.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand into new cities and deepen its presence in existing markets. Its approach remains focused on controlled growth, while maintaining consistency, customer experience and operational efficiency.
“We have spent the last several years building Burma Burma as a differentiated, cuisine-led dining brand with a strong focus on consistency, unit economics, and customer experience. The current fundraise allows us to accelerate expansion in a calibrated manner while strengthening our presence in markets where the brand has already demonstrated strong traction.”
With growing demand for premium and experience-led dining, Burma Burma is well positioned to scale further while preserving its distinct identity in a competitive landscape.
