BSNL has introduced a new prepaid plan designed specifically for students, offering a mix of high data usage and unlimited calling. The plan was launched as part of the company’s effort to bring affordable and flexible options to young users across the country.
The BSNL Student Special Plan is available for a limited period and is priced at 251 rupees for 28 days. When broken down, the cost comes to about 8.96 rupees per day. It includes unlimited voice calls, 100 gigabytes of high speed data and 100 SMS per day. The plan can be purchased between November 14 and December 13, 2025. Unlike some of the company’s recent offers that were restricted to new customers, this plan appears to be open to all eligible users.
Students who want to activate the plan can do so by visiting the nearest BSNL customer service centre, calling the helpline number 1800 180 1503 or accessing the official website bsnl dot co dot in.
The launch of this plan comes as BSNL continues the nationwide rollout of its indigenously developed 4G network. BSNL CMD A. Robert J. Ravi noted that the company has deployed a Make in India 4G mobile network across the country. He added that India is only the fifth country in the world to develop 4G mobile network technology and that BSNL has been working on its development and rollout for a long time.
Ravi said that this data heavy prepaid plan gives students an opportunity to experience the new 4G network with data usage of up to 100 gigabytes. He described the plan as a competitive and budget friendly choice for students who require large amounts of data for their studies. He added that after experiencing the new BSNL 4G services, the company expects students to continue using its network because BSNL can assure good service quality and coverage.
