Prabodh carries more than three decades of experience across core areas of banking including project finance, corporate banking, and risk management. He earlier served as Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at the State Bank of India where he contributed to major business transformation efforts, improved operational efficiency, and guided large scale financial programs within the country’s largest public sector bank.
Prabodh was also deputed to the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development as Officer on Special Duty where he played an important role in building and operationalizing the institution. His work supported the foundation of a key development financial institution focused on enabling large infrastructure growth across the country.
During his tenure with the State Bank of India, Prabodh also served as Vice President and Head of Credit at the bank’s New York office. In this role He managed international credit portfolios and risk frameworks. He later returned to India to lead the Project Finance and Structuring Strategic Business Unit where he oversaw financing solutions for large and complex projects. His experience across domestic and global operations has given him a strong understanding of both traditional banking systems and modern financial models.
As Shareholder Director at Bank of India, Prabodh is expected to bring his extensive knowledge of governance, strategic planning, and risk oversight to support the bank’s mission. His leadership will play a key role in guiding the bank’s long term vision of sustainable growth and financial inclusion.
