BNY India has consolidated all of its operations in Pune to a new office space in Kharadi

The Pune-based financial services company BNY India has moved all of its activities to a new office building in Kharadi. The New York-based bank’s Indian division runs a global capabilities center (GCC) in Pune.

“Pune is truly a global city with an incredible talent pool. BNY has continued to invest in India to build on our legacy of resilience, innovation to service our clients globally and develop solutions by attracting and retaining top, diverse talent. We are focusing on strengthening our talent pipeline by tapping into the early career talent through our various campus outreach initiatives,” Sudish Panicker, MD, BNY India, said in a statement.

“Our presence in India plays an important role in providing cutting-edge integrated solutions, business and functional support to all our clients globally. The consolidation of our offices in Chennai and now Pune is an integral part of our company’s location strategy as we elevate the client experience, create state-of-the-art employee workspaces and collaborate with local research institutions,” · Alejandro Perez, Chief Administrative Officer, BNY, said.

The Pune campus is a 16-story, 10 lakh square foot complex divided across two linked towers. It supports the needs of a sustainable workplace by having electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at designated locations. With a range of food and drink options in food courts, an on-site fitness facility, a health center that provides a full range of health services, including a pharmacy, and a wellness center, the amenities serve staff members throughout the workweek.

With two in the US, two in Europe, and two in India, BNY has six strategic growth sites, or GCCs, worldwide. As a sector, GCCs are changing from being a place where multinational corporations (MNCs) could cut costs to being a center for value addition and product creation for several conglomerates. MNCs created GCCs, which are nearshore or offshore technological hubs, to take advantage of global talent pools, streamline operations, and spur innovation.
