Blinkit has announced that it will now deliver powered spectacles from Lenskart within minutes across select Indian cities. The new service, introduced on Friday, is currently available in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai, with plans to expand to more regions in the coming months.
Customers can choose from several frame styles and colours, along with a limited set of power options provided in a preset dropdown menu. At present, the available powers are -0.25, -0.5, -0.75, -1.0, and -1.5. Blinkit has not confirmed if additional power ranges will be added later.
Announcing the update on X (formerly Twitter), Blinkit founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa said that powered spectacles from Lenskart are now being delivered in 10 minutes, just like other products on the platform. He also clarified that customers do not require a prescription to place an order. They only need to select the power, pick a colour, and proceed to checkout on the Blinkit app.
This new offering comes after Blinkit has expanded into various quick-delivery categories earlier this year. The platform has already introduced rapid deliveries of Apple products, Xiaomi smartphones, Nokia feature phones, and a range of computer peripherals.
In April, the company also started delivering Airtel SIM cards to doorsteps within 10 minutes for a fee of Rs. 49 in select cities. This service supports both prepaid and postpaid plans, Aadhaar-based digital KYC for instant activation, and number porting from other operators to Airtel.
Additionally, Blinkit provides quick delivery of HP and Apple laptops, as well as accessories from Lenovo, Zebronics, MSI, and Canon across multiple Indian cities. With the inclusion of powered spectacles, the company is further expanding its product portfolio beyond groceries and essentials into lifestyle and technology.
