Biswajit Deb Appointed as People Leader Talent Acquisition at ABB India

ABB India has appointed Biswajit Deb as its new People Leader for Talent Acquisition, highlighting the company’s focus on building a strong and future-ready workforce amid rising competition for skilled professionals.

Deb is a human resources professional with more than 15 years of experience. He previously led talent acquisition and diversity initiatives at AP Moller Maersk’s Global Service Centres. Over the years, he has held leadership roles at organisations such as Claris Lifesciences, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Adani Ports and SEZ, and other companies across manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare sectors.

In his new role at ABB, Deb will be responsible for driving hiring strategies, strengthening the company’s employer brand, and implementing practices to attract and retain top talent in a rapidly changing industrial environment.

Deb holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Gujarat University and has completed a postgraduate programme in human resources from XLRI Jamshedpur.

The appointment comes as ABB continues to expand its presence in India, where HR leadership is expected to play a vital role in aligning recruitment with business transformation and technology adoption.
