The appointment strengthens the company’s commercial leadership as it accelerates global growth, market expansion and long term value creation across key therapeutic segments.
In his new role, Amit will lead global business strategy, commercial operations, market development and strategic partnerships. His mandate includes supporting Biophore’s continued expansion of its differentiated API portfolio across both regulated and emerging markets.
Amit brings more than 20 years of global pharmaceutical business leadership experience across APIs, intermediates, formulations and biosciences. His career spans major markets across Asia, Europe and the Americas, giving him deep exposure to diverse regulatory and commercial environments.
Before joining Biophore, Amit served as Commercial Officer for India and Emerging Markets at Cohance Lifesciences. In this role, he led commercial strategy, regional market expansion and business development initiatives across fast-growing pharmaceutical markets.
Earlier, he was Vice President Marketing at Aurobindo Pharma, where he drove international marketing strategy, strengthened customer partnerships and expanded market penetration across key therapeutic categories.
Prior to that, Amit held leadership positions at Granules India Limited as Associate Vice President. There, he managed profitability and operational performance across APIs, intermediates and formulations. He also served at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as Associate Director and Region Head for North Asia, where he built strategic market presence across Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore.
His career foundation includes senior international sales and business development leadership roles at Orchid Pharma, Nectar Lifesciences, Wockhardt and Jubilant Organosys. Across these roles, he played a key part in building and scaling large multi market pharmaceutical portfolios.
Amit’s appointment reflects Biophore’s focus on strengthening its commercial capabilities as it scales its global API business and deepens its presence across priority markets.
