Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) welcomes Sonam Tyagi as Head of Human Resources

Ms. Tyagi will lead the institute’s HR function and drive organisational effectiveness and people strategy at one of India’s leading management institutions. Before joining BIMTECH, Sonam served as Human Resource Manager at Sparsh Group of Educational Institutions. There, she managed HR operations within an academic ecosystem and helped strengthen institutional HR processes.

Earlier, Sonam worked as Human Resources Manager at Sharda University. In this role, she gained strong experience in strategic human resource planning and HR strategy within the higher education sector. She supported workforce development and contributed to institutional growth.

Prior to that, Sonam was Manager Human Resources at Ramagya Group. She handled a broad range of HR responsibilities, including grievance management, HR audits, employee engagement initiatives, recruitment coordination, onboarding, documentation, and MIS reporting for a large employee base.

Sonam began her HR career at Lovely Professional University as a Human Resources Officer. She built her foundational expertise in academic HR operations and employee lifecycle management during this period.

In her new role at BIMTECH, she will focus on strengthening HR systems, aligning people practices with institutional goals, and supporting long-term organisational development.
