In a significant leadership shift, Unicommerce, a prominent name in the e-commerce SaaS landscape, has confirmed the resignation of its Chief Technical Officer, Bhupinder Garg, after a notable journey of over seven years with the company. His departure, attributed to “personal reasons,” became effective on April 15, 2025, as stated in a regulatory filing.
Garg’s time at Unicommerce was marked by steadfast dedication and technological evolution. Under his guidance, the company witnessed the formation of a robust and future-ready Engineering and Product Development backbone. His long-term collaborators, Ankit Jain and Rachit Srivastava, will now take over the reins of Engineering and Product Development, respectively. The duo, having closely worked with Garg for the past seven years, is expected to carry forward his legacy of innovation and stability.
“Bhupinder’s contribution has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said the company in an official note, highlighting the strategic depth and discipline he brought to the tech leadership role.
In parallel with this transition, Unicommerce is also advancing its strategic play in the logistics tech space, having recently greenlit the complete acquisition of Shipway, a move aimed at deepening its foothold in the courier aggregation segment.
Meanwhile, the financial pulse of Unicommerce beats stronger than ever. As per numbers sourced from a business intelligence platform, the company’s operating revenue surged to Rs 32.7 crore in Q3 FY25, a leap from Rs 26 crore in the same quarter last year. More impressively, profit swelled by 61.5% YoY, touching Rs 6.3 crore, signaling the effectiveness of its business strategy and operational agility.
As the pages turn and a new chapter begins, Unicommerce walks forward with gratitude in its stride and ambition in its eyes. With fresh leadership stepping up and growth trajectories soaring, the company remains well-positioned to shape the future of e-commerce enablement in India and beyond.
“Every end is a new beginning, and in the echoes of legacy, a new vision quietly rises.”
