BharatPe has announced the appointment of Ajit Kumar as its new Chief Technology Officer. His role became effective on 23 October 2025. He takes over from Pankaj Goel who stepped down in May this year.
Kumar has more than 19 years of experience in the technology sector. Before joining BharatPe, he served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Paytm. He played an important role in scaling the company’s fintech platforms. His career also includes key leadership roles at Snapdeal Shopo, Times Internet, and SAP Labs. His work has focused on building scalable platforms and driving innovation.
In his new role, Kumar will lead the technology strategy and innovation plans at BharatPe. He will work to improve the scalability, reliability, and quality of the company’s payments and lending platforms. CEO Nalin Negi has expressed confidence in Kumar’s experience. He said that Kumar has a strong understanding of payments and UPI infrastructure.
This appointment comes at an important time for BharatPe. The company continues to grow its presence in the fintech sector. It aims to support millions of merchants and consumers with advanced digital solutions.
