Proven Healthcare Technology Leader Will Drive Digital Transformation to Address Health System Workforce Challenges – One of the Most Pressing Structural Issues for Providers
Hallmark, a leading healthcare workforce management technology company, announced today that Bharat Sundaram has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Bruce Cerullo, who will continue on the Board of Directors and will serve as a Strategic Advisor to the company.
Bharat Sundaram, a seasoned healthcare technology executive with extensive experience from roles at Vizient, MedAssets, and the Boston Consulting Group, brings a proven record of driving transformational growth. As President of Vizient, a leading healthcare performance improvement company that partners with over 3,000 hospitals to reduce costs and improve quality, he expanded the company’s capabilities in services, technology and data, successfully executed several high-value acquisitions, and led its adoption of AI to drive value internally and for its clients.
“Joining Hallmark is about more than just a new role—it’s about making a significant impact in our industry by tackling one of the biggest structural issues facing providers today with innovative, data-driven solutions,” said Sundaram. “With a marquee set of clients, multiple levers for growth, and a high-performing team, I see a tremendous opportunity to build on the company’s strong foundation and deliver clear value and ROI through technology.”
“It has been an incredible privilege to guide Hallmark through a period of significant growth,” said Cerullo. “We’ve expanded our strategic partnerships with staffing agencies and health systems, launched the Center for Healthcare Workforce Excellence, and established a Strategic Advisory Board of healthcare leaders nationwide. These milestones position Hallmark for sustained success, and I am confident that Bharat’s deep expertise in digital transformation and analytics will propel our mission even further.”
Hallmark will showcase its latest innovations in workforce intelligence and staffing technology at the AONL 2025 conference in Boston, March 30-April 2.
