In a significant leadership move, Bharat Kaushal has been appointed as the Executive Chairman of Hitachi India, effective April 1, 2025. This dual leadership role highlights Hitachi’s continued dedication to strengthening its deep-rooted bond with India—a partnership that has stood strong for over 90 years.
Kaushal’s journey with the company has been nothing short of transformational. His work has helped position Hitachi as a core contributor to India’s growth story.
“This appointment re-emphasises Hitachi India’s continued commitment to strengthening its over nine decades of unwavering partnership with India,” the company stated in an official communication.
“I am truly honoured and overwhelmed by the trust and confidence placed upon me in steering the future growth for Hitachi in India,” said Kaushal. “The new role will place a lot of responsibility in further architecting and driving a forward-looking roadmap for Hitachi’s colossal growth in India.”
Known for his visionary thinking and ability to build bridges between innovation and impact, Kaushal’s appointment is being seen as a strategic step towards accelerating Hitachi’s roadmap in one of the world’s most dynamic economies. His approach blends futuristic ambition with grounded execution, making him a vital force in shaping the company’s long-term mission in India.
The company acknowledged Kaushal’s pivotal influence in expanding its footprint across the country while fostering meaningful alliances with stakeholders. Under his leadership, Hitachi’s presence has not only grown wider but deeper—rooted in sustainable development and India’s digital transformation.
