He joins the bank with close to thirty years of experience in analytics, data strategy, business intelligence and digital transformation.
In his new role, Balaji will guide IndusInd bank’s data driven decision making efforts. He will focus on building stronger analytics systems and speeding up digital initiatives across the enterprise.
Balaji brings deep industry expertise shaped over a significant tenure at Axis Bank. He spent 15 years there in several senior positions, most recently as President and Head of the Business Intelligence Unit. During his time with the bank, he led data modernisation programs, advanced customer intelligence work, digital analytics projects and major BI transformation initiatives that supported the organisation’s digital progress.
His career experience extends beyond Axis Bank. He has held important roles at Freecharge as part of its Board of Directors as well as Barclaycard, Capital One and Citi. Across these organisations, Balaji built and expanded analytics and insights teams that supported functions such as marketing, risk and data management. His combined experience across global and Indian financial institutions positions him to support IndusInd Bank’s data and digital goals.
