AWS Launches Space Accelerator: APJ 2025 to Foster Space-Tech Startups Across Asia-Pacific

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has unveiled the AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025, a detailed 10-week initiative aimed at boosting the development of space-tech startups in India, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. This program seeks to assist up to 40 promising startups focusing on essential fields like space infrastructure, earth observation, and drone technology.

The accelerator provides a comprehensive set of resources, including invaluable business mentorship, extensive technical support from AWS, and up to $100,000 in AWS cloud credits to aid participating companies in scaling their innovations.

Applications for the AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025 are currently open and will be accepted until September 5, 2025. The program is scheduled to begin in September and will conclude with a demo day in December 2025, offering a platform for startups to present their progress. The accelerator will include both virtual and in-person elements, ensuring wide accessibility.

AWS is partnering with a robust network of collaborators, including T-Hub, Minfy, Fusic, and Ansys, along with notable space agencies such as the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) and the Australia Space Agency.

This initiative builds on the success of the 2024 India edition, which effectively supported 24 startups, further reinforcing AWS’s dedication to promoting innovation in the space technology sector throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
