In a powerful stride toward the future of intelligent infrastructure, Aurigo Software has onboarded the accomplished Dr. Sunil Kumar Vuppala as Vice President of AI Labs. Based out of Bengaluru, he is set to lead Aurigo’s global artificial intelligence journey with a focus on innovation, trust, and scalability.
With a legacy built on over two decades of pioneering work in artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and analytics, Dr. Vuppala’s arrival marks a turning point in Aurigo’s AI-first vision. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, having crafted four AI-driven platforms and delivered more than 100 real-world AI applications for over 30 international clients. His portfolio also boasts 40-plus patents, including six granted in the United States, along with 35 technical publications and 100+ industry talks.

At Aurigo, Dr. Vuppala will lead the AI Labs and guide the evolution of Aurigo Lumina, the company’s cutting-edge AI solution. His mission includes embedding secure, transparent AI within Aurigo’s flagship Masterworks platform and helping infrastructure and facility owners worldwide unlock unmatched value in capital project planning and execution.
Reflecting on his new role, Dr. Vuppala said, “Aurigo is building the future of enterprise AI as a service, and it’s an honor to be leading a team that’s passionate about solving real-world problems.”
Before this, he served as Director of Data Science at a global AI accelerator, where he built production-grade AI models across telecom, security, and visual domains. His earlier stints at leading global firms in healthcare, telecom, energy, and education strengthened his mission of applied research.
An alumnus of IIT Roorkee, IIIT Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, and NLSIU Bengaluru, he continues to teach and inspire at institutions like IIIT-B and Great Learning and holds a leadership role in the IEEE Computer Society.
