Ather Energy has announced the expansion of its electric two wheeler range in Sri Lanka, a market that has continued to grow since the company entered the country in December 2024.
The company introduced its family scooter Rizta in Sri Lanka at the Colombo Motor Show 2025. The launch was carried out in partnership with Evolution Auto Pvt Ltd, which is Ather Energy’s authorised distributor in the country.
According to a regulatory filing, this launch represents the next phase of Ather’s international growth plan. The company aims to widen its product range and strengthen its ecosystem in key global markets.
Ather Energy Chief Business Officer Ravneet Singh Phokela said, “Since entering Sri Lanka last year, it has quickly become a growing market for us, and expanding our portfolio here with the Rizta felt like the natural next step.” He added that the scooter has already seen strong acceptance in India for more than a year and also in Nepal. He said, “We believe it is well suited for the needs of Sri Lankan riders as well.”
Ather made its first international entry in November 2023 with Nepal. The company has since expanded to nine experience centres and seven service centres across the country.
