Mazad is Bahrain’s national auction platform established to organize and supervise auctions across the Kingdom. In her new role, Asma AlZekri will lead Mazad’s people strategy and human capital agenda. She will also manage the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Her appointment supports Mazad’s focus on building strong teams, maintaining effective HR governance, and embedding sustainability, transparency, and community impact into its growth plans.
Before this elevation, Asma spent over 2 years at Mazad as Human Resources Manager. During this period, she supported HR operations and people management in line with the organization’s expanding auction activities in Bahrain.
Prior to joining Mazad, she worked for nearly 3.5 years as Human Resources Manager at American School of Bahrain. There, she handled HR programs and managed the full employee lifecycle within the education sector.
Earlier in her career, Asma spent close to 5 years at New Generation Private School as Human Resources Manager. This role helped her build strong expertise in workforce management and people operations. She also served for about 1 year at Rayyan Alkhair Group as a Community Relations Specialist, gaining experience in stakeholder engagement and community-focused work.
At the beginning of her professional journey, Asma worked for around 3 years at a media company in a Media role. This experience strengthened her communication skills and ability to align with key stakeholders.
Asma AlZekri holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a major in Human Resource Management from Rays University.
With this appointment, Mazad aims to strengthen its HR leadership and CSR direction as it continues to grow its national auction platform.
