SWELECT Energy Systems has announced the appointment of Arul Shanmugasundaram as its new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, marking the beginning of a new chapter of growth while continuing to uphold the company’s founding principles.
Arul, who most recently served as Executive Director of Operations at Ayana Renewable Power, brings more than three decades of global experience in technology, solar manufacturing, and large scale renewable energy projects. Arul career also includes leadership positions at Tata Power Solar Systems and Applied Materials in Silicon Valley, reflecting a strong blend of technical expertise and business acumen.
As part of this leadership transition, long standing leader R. Chellappan will assume the role of Vice Chairman. His continued involvement will ensure SWELECT’s long established values of integrity and innovation remain central to its long term vision and strategy.
Under Arul’s leadership, supported by Chellappan’s guidance, SWELECT plans to advance innovation, broaden its presence in solar manufacturing and EPC services, and strengthen its position within India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.
