Arch Capital Group Ltd., a global leader in insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance, has launched two new global capability centres in India. The newly established centres are located in Trivandrum and Pune, marking a major step in strengthening the company’s global operations.
A third capability centre is also in the pipeline and is expected to open soon in Hyderabad. Together, these centres will employ more than 350 professionals. They will support Arch’s global operations with a focus on technology, data analytics and core insurance processes.
The capability centres in India are designed to enhance service delivery across insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance. They aim to take advantage of India’s large and skilled talent pool in technology and operations.
“India offers exceptional professional talent and is becoming increasingly important in the global insurance value chain,” said Prashant Nema, Deputy Chief Operations Officer at Arch. “Our presence here enables us to scale capabilities, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation across our businesses.”
To ensure smooth setup and continued operations of the centres, Arch Capital Group partnered with a global capability centre expert for strategic execution. Legal support was provided by a well-known law firm during the setup process.
As of 30 June 2025, Arch Capital Group Ltd. reported a capital base of approximately 25.8 billion US dollars. Headquartered in Bermuda, the company is part of the S and P 500 Index and operates through wholly owned subsidiaries across major global markets.
