Aravamudhan brings more than twenty years of experience in public policy, government relations, and media regulation, and will guide the company’s legal strategy, compliance direction, and regulatory engagement.
Aravamudhan’s appointment demonstrates JioStar’s focus on strengthening its governance practices and policy alignment as it continues to expand its global presence across entertainment and sports content. His background includes senior roles at several major broadcast organisations, where he built deep understanding of the Indian media and regulatory landscape.
Before joining JioStar, he most recently served as Head of Public Policy at two leading media companies. In this role he led government relations, regulatory planning, and industry wide policy discussions. During his fifteen year journey across these organisations, he progressed through roles in corporate communication and regulatory affairs to senior positions that involved major responsibilities in compliance, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication.
Earlier in his career, Aravamudhan worked with a prominent news network, where he gained solid experience in media management, content oversight, and policy advocacy. This early exposure helped shape his understanding of India’s broadcasting environment and the balance required between creativity and regulatory discipline.
At JioStar, Aravamudhan will focus on driving regulatory strategy, ensuring strong legal governance, and building meaningful partnerships with stakeholders. His role will support the company’s aim to operate responsibly while adapting to the rapidly changing digital media sector.
