Apple is concentrating more on India as a global manufacturing powerhouse and as a crucial market. On LinkedIn, Apple India’s Head of Digital Marketing, Pranav Shroff, revealed that the tech giant has posted two important leadership positions for its India marketing team.
Apple is seeking to appoint seasoned experts to oversee its communications activities in India, according to the company’s official communications.
With duties ranging from strategic planning to practical media relations, product launch narrative, and ecosystem alignment, the positions cover both corporate and consumer public relations.
Close cooperation with other teams, such as Product Marketing, Retail, Sales, Legal, and others, is another need of the role.
The recruiting frenzy coincides with a wave of Apple-related news in India and throughout the world.
After the White House recently slapped a hefty 125% tax on Chinese imports, Apple barely dodged a major supply chain problem. However, the Biden administration made a last-minute decision to exclude consumer electronics, avoiding potentially disruptive price increases for Apple’s main devices, including as MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones.
According to reports, Apple intends to relocate the assembly of all iPhones sold in the US to India by the end of the year, a related step that highlights the company’s growing commitment to India. India is increasingly being considered as Apple’s next major production site as a result of growing geopolitical concerns and rising manufacturing prices in China.
