“The App Store has been an economic miracle for developers in India and all around the world, and we’re thrilled to support their work,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “This study underlines the power of India’s incredibly vibrant app economy. And we’re committed to keep investing in the success of developers of all sizes as they build apps that make an important impact and enrich people’s lives.”

Developer success stories

With more downloads and revenue from both local and foreign users, Indian software developers have prospered on the software Store. Apps in a variety of areas, including gaming, rapid commerce, health, and lifestyle, have been developed.

Developers are further empowered to produce products that have an effect through programs like the App Store Small Business Program and resources like the Apple Developer Center in Bengaluru. Apple’s ecosystem has aided developers, especially small developers. Between 2021 and 2024, small developers’ overall App Store profits rose by 74%. Small developers can receive a lower commission rate thanks to programs like the App Store Small Business Program, which is intended to assist them.
