Apna.co Launches AI Calling Agent to Transform Hiring with Faster Interviews

Jobs and career platform Apna.co has introduced a multilingual AI Calling Agent that aims to speed up hiring by nearly 50 percent through automated voice interviews.

The tool is built on Apna’s proprietary Agentic AI stack called Blue Machines. It automatically begins voice interviews as soon as a job is posted and can handle more than 10,000 conversations simultaneously in Hindi, English, and several regional languages.

Apna states that the AI Calling Agent delivers over 80 percent connection rates, a significant improvement over the 30 percent generally achieved through manual calling. Recruiters receive immediate transcripts, audio highlights, and AI-generated shortlists directly on their dashboards.

The launch is part of Apna’s larger strategy to expand its AI-powered hiring solutions. Earlier this year, the company rolled out AI Job Prep, a mock interview platform for candidates. This tool has already recorded 39 lakh minutes of usage across 7.6 lakh simulated interviews. It provides resume-based and role-specific practice sessions using real interview data gathered from over 3,000 companies, including Google, Swiggy, and Microsoft. The feature has become especially popular among Gen Z job seekers in metro and tier-II cities.

Speaking on the launch, Nirmit Parikh, founder and CEO of Apna.co, said, “Recruiters spend countless hours chasing calls instead of meeting qualified candidates. That’s the gap we set out to bridge. By embedding our AI Calling Agent into every job post, we’re putting enterprise-grade automation into the hands of lakhs of MSMEs and enterprises across India.”

The AI Calling Agent benefits both large organisations and small businesses by tailoring interviews to specific job roles, asking relevant questions, scoring responses in real time, and conducting follow-ups through calls, WhatsApp, and email. Together with the AI Job Prep platform, Apna is creating a faster and more technology-driven hiring ecosystem for employers and job seekers alike.
