Bimaplan, a leading embedded insurance platform in India, has announced the appointment of Anurag Mishra as its new Chief Executive Officer. The leadership change comes as the company prepares to expand its presence across emerging global markets.
Anurag Mishra brings with him close to 30 years of experience in global banking and financial services. He previously served at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he led Global Trade and Supply Chain Finance initiatives across developing economies. Prior to that, he was CEO of Standard Chartered Bank in Nepal, where he led major institutional reforms and built strategic partnerships.
Commenting on the appointment, Vikul Goyal, Founder of Bimaplan, said, “Anurag’s global insight and operational expertise will fuel our next chapter. While I continue to lead on innovation and partnerships, Anurag will take charge of business expansion and delivery.”
The leadership transition is a part of Bimaplan’s broader strategy to strengthen its international operations. Following its successful entry into the Zambian market through a partnership with a microfinance institution, Bimaplan is now exploring new opportunities in Africa and the Middle East. The platform leverages a digital-first approach to integrate insurance offerings into financial service journeys, improving access to financial protection in underserved areas.
Speaking on his new role, Mishra said, “Embedded insurance can transform access to financial protection. I’m excited to guide Bimaplan’s growth across underserved geographies.”
