Adding seasoned cybersecurity leadership to its executive team. Anshuman brings deep experience in information security governance, cyber risk management, and regulatory compliance across banking and technology ecosystems.
In his new role, Anshuman Pund will oversee information security strategy and strengthen the bank’s cyber resilience framework. Before joining SBM Bank India, he served as Chief Information Security Officer at Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd. There, he led enterprise wide information security programmes, cyber risk management initiatives, CSOC operations, and regulatory alignment within the financial services sector.
Earlier in his career, Anshuman Pund held senior leadership and consulting roles at Tech Mahindra, National Payments Corporation Of India, and IDBI Intech LTD. His work focused on cybersecurity architecture, risk management, information security governance, and large scale security operations.
Anshuman has also built a strong professional foundation through roles at Essar Group AEGIS Ltd., National Institute for Smart Government under the Government of Maharashtra, Reliance Tech Services of Reliance Industries Limited, and Barco. These roles provided exposure across banking, payments, telecom, government, and enterprise technology environments.
With this appointment, SBM Bank India aims to further strengthen its information security posture and align its cybersecurity practices with evolving regulatory and operational requirements.
