Ankush Bindra joins HDFC Bank as Vice President – Hospitality

Ankush Bindra has joined HDFC Bank as Vice President Hospitality. This marks an important milestone in his career of more than twenty years in corporate travel, mobility services, and business operations. In his new role, he will oversee travel procurement and operations. His focus will be on improving the experience for employees and travel partners. He will also ensure operational excellence across the bank hospitality ecosystem.

Before joining HDFC Bank, Ankush worked at Siemens as Category Lead Mobility Services. He managed global travel operations and vendor partnerships. He worked on strategic sourcing, stakeholder engagement, and process automation. His goal was to align travel management with business objectives. His work ensured efficiency, compliance, and service quality across many countries.

Prior to Siemens, Ankush worked with Cummins India as Regional Travel Manager. He led business travel operations across different regions. He implemented systems that improved supplier management, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. His leadership helped build a stronger travel governance framework. He ensured smooth travel experiences for global employees.

He also worked at Ericsson. He managed the travel function for India with a spend of more than USD 25 million for 10000 travellers. His key contributions included the introduction of an online booking tool. He negotiated with airlines and hotels. He represented Ericsson in industry forums such as ACTE and GBTA.

Earlier in his career, Ankush held important roles at Hrg Sita India under Kuoni Group, Yatra Online Ltd, HCL Technologies, and ebookers. These roles helped him gain strong expertise in client relations, travel strategy, vendor development, and corporate operations.

At HDFC Bank, Ankush’s appointment highlights the bank’s commitment to improving travel management, sustainability, and employee experience across its large network. His experience in strategic sourcing, stakeholder engagement, and process transformation will support the next phase of hospitality innovation at the bank.
