Angola Cables, a global provider of digital services and telecommunications solutions, has named Adriano Caldevilla as its new Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Caldevilla will oversee the company’s global technology and interconnection strategy, including its subsidiary TelCables.
A key focus of his responsibilities will be to strengthen Angola Cables’ operations in Brazil, driving growth in connectivity and business opportunities in the region. His priorities will include the expansion of subsea cable infrastructure, improving the efficiency of the existing network, and building strategic partnerships across both established and emerging markets.
With over two decades of international expertise in networks, subsea cables, cloud computing, and digital security, Caldevilla has been instrumental in several interconnection projects, IP transit and peering initiatives, and advanced cybersecurity solutions. He has also played a major role in the development of intercontinental submarine cable systems and the scaling of global IP and MPLS networks. His career includes leadership positions at companies such as Zoom Video Communications, Globenet/Oi, Akamai Technologies, Global Crossing (Level 3), Verizon, and Orange.
