Amit Spitzer has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Glilot Capital Partners. With over 15 years of experience in leading early-stage technology and innovation, Spitzer brings deep expertise in information security to his new role.

Before joining Glilot, Spitzer was the first CISO and DPO at Cato Networks. He also held senior leadership roles in information security and technology at various companies, including ControlUp, Dome9 which was later acquired by Check Point, and ClickSoftware which was acquired by Salesforce. In addition, he served in Israel’s National Digital Agency, operating under the Prime Minister’s Office.

For the past three years, Spitzer has been working closely with Glilot as a Security Advisor on its Advisory Board. During this time, he supported the firm’s portfolio companies and investment team, helping address complex security and technology challenges.

His formal appointment aims to strengthen the technological outlook in investment strategies and enhance support for portfolio companies in areas such as security architecture, scaling, product development, and growth.

Glilot Capital Partners, established in 2011 by Kobi Samboursky and Arik Kleinstein, was the first Israeli venture capital fund to specialise in cybersecurity investments. They were later joined by partners Nofar Amikam and Lior Litwak. The firm focuses on early-stage startups across cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and more.

Today, Glilot manages approximately $1 billion across its seed and early growth funds and has achieved 21 successful exits to date.
