Heritage Foods Ltd, one of India’s leading and most respected FMCG companies, has announced the appointment of Amit Shetty as its new Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President – HR. In his new role, Amit will lead the company’s human capital strategy across its Dairy and Renewable Energy divisions, focusing on talent management, capability building, employee engagement, and organisational transformation.
With more than 18 years of extensive HR leadership experience, Amit brings deep expertise in strategic HR, people development, and business partnering within the FMCG, food, and manufacturing sectors. His mandate includes strengthening Heritage Foods’ talent ecosystem, fostering a high-performance culture, and aligning HR practices with the company’s long-term growth and sustainability objectives.
Before joining Heritage Foods, Amit served as General Manager – Human Resources at Frigorifico Allana Private Limited, where he led HR strategy and transformation to enhance workforce efficiency and build organisational capability. His efforts in driving employee engagement and performance-based culture contributed significantly to the company’s continued growth and success.
Earlier, Amit worked with the IFFCO Group (Dubai) as Senior Human Resources Business Partner, where he oversaw HR operations for Emirates Refining Co. and partnered with strategic teams including R&D, Government Affairs, and Industrial Sales. During his tenure, he led initiatives that earned the organisation the Great Place to Work certification in the UAE and KSA, improved engagement scores, and introduced skill gap analysis programmes to build managerial excellence.
Prior to his time at IFFCO, Amit spent over six years with the Allana Group in various HR leadership roles, including General Manager – HR and Head of Learning and Development. He launched impactful initiatives such as “UBIKA – The Growth Wave”, a leadership development programme, and diversity and inclusion frameworks that received recognition through the ET Best Diversity Initiative Award in 2019.
Earlier in his career, Amit worked with LafargeHolcim, contributing to major change management and leadership development projects, including the “Developing Agile Leaders” workshop. His early HR experience at Beiersdorf (NIVEA India) and Tata Chemicals helped build his foundation in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement.
Amit’s appointment highlights Heritage Foods’ commitment to nurturing people excellence and building a future-ready workforce that supports its vision of growth, innovation, and sustainability.
