Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes after you place an order on Amazon? Starting from the fourth quarter of 2025, Amazon will begin offering free public tours of its fulfillment centers in India, giving people a close-up view of how their packages are processed and shipped.
The ecommerce giant will open its smart warehouses in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru for in-person guided tours lasting 45 to 60 minutes. Visitors will get to see where millions of products are stored, how customer orders are packed, and meet the teams behind the fast deliveries. Each fulfillment center will host tours three times a week, with each group limited to 20 participants. Registrations will begin later this year through an online portal.
Announcing the initiative at the ‘Delivering the Future’ event in Tokyo, Amazon said the program is part of its efforts to help people understand the scale, technology, and teamwork that power its delivery network. “These tours offer visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the technology and people working together to deliver for our customers every day,” said Abhinav Singh, VP Operations India and Australia.
The Delhi NCR fulfillment center is the largest in North India, covering 4,50,000 square feet—roughly the size of eight football fields. Bengaluru’s center is Amazon’s largest in the country, with over 2 million cubic feet of storage space.
Nick Boone-Lutz, who leads Amazon’s global public tours program, said, “Since 2014, we’ve welcomed over 2 million visitors across more than 35 locations in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, France, Germany, and Italy.”
With this move, Amazon brings its global initiative to India, offering a unique opportunity for the public to explore the heart of its operations.
