In his new role, Mishra is responsible for shaping business strategy, strengthening operational excellence, and driving growth initiatives across markets. He brings deep experience in cross functional leadership, sales strategy, and large scale execution, built through years of managing diverse teams and geographies.
Before this appointment, Mishra served as CEO for airtel’s Guwahati operations, where he led regional business performance and operations. His elevation reflects the company’s focus on experienced leadership to steer growth and execution priorities.
Prior to joining airtel, Mishra held several senior leadership roles across leading consumer and FMCG companies. At The Hershey Company, he served as Sales Director, overseeing key portfolios and driving market expansion. He later worked at Diageo as Vice President, managing high value businesses and large regional teams.
His earlier leadership journey includes multiple roles at Mondelēz International and Cadbury India Ltd, where he worked as Associate Vice President and Associate Director across different assignments. In these roles, he led complex operations, handled significant revenue portfolios, and built strong regional teams.
Mishra began his professional career at PepsiCo India and CavinKare. During this phase, he developed a strong foundation in sales execution, customer development, and route to market strategies across fast moving consumer businesses.
With a career spanning FMCG and telecom, Mishra’s appointment signals airtel’s emphasis on combining execution strength with strategic clarity as it continues to expand and strengthen its market presence.
