Airtel Partners With Perplexity to Offer Free AI-Powered Search Access to Users

Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecommunications providers, has announced a significant partnership with Perplexity, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered search engine, to offer advanced AI search capabilities to its vast customer base. This collaboration will provide Airtel’s 360 million customers with a complimentary 12-month subscription to Perplexity Pro, a premium service that enhances the AI search experience.

The Perplexity Pro subscription, which typically costs INR 17,000 per year, will now be accessible to eligible Airtel users at no additional charge. This move is set to democratize access to cutting-edge AI tools for a massive audience across India.

Perplexity Pro offers a range of advanced features designed to provide more comprehensive and efficient search results. These include an increased number of daily searches, access to sophisticated AI models, the ability to generate images, and advanced file analysis capabilities. The integration aims to transform how users interact with information, making it more intuitive and powerful.

Airtel customers can avail themselves of this exclusive offer through the Airtel Thanks App, simplifying the process of accessing the premium AI search service. The partnership underscores Airtel’s commitment to leveraging technology to provide added value and innovative services to its subscribers.

“This partnership with Perplexity marks a significant step in our journey to bring the latest in AI technology to our customers,” an Airtel spokesperson stated. “We believe that providing free access to Perplexity Pro will empower millions of Indians with advanced search capabilities, enhancing their digital experience and fostering greater access to information.”

Perplexity also expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. “Our goal is to make powerful AI accessible to everyone,” said a representative from Perplexity. “Partnering with Airtel allows us to reach an unprecedented scale in India, enabling a vast number of users to experience the benefits of AI-powered search firsthand.”

The initiative is expected to boost the adoption of AI tools among a diverse demographic, from students and professionals to everyday users seeking more efficient ways to find and process information.
