Airtel names Akanksha Kanojia as Head – Talent, Culture & DEI

Airtel has announced the appointment of Akanksha Kanojia, expanding her leadership scope to cover talent strategy, organizational culture, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the company.

Based in Gurugram, Akanksha will play a key role in strengthening people capability and driving cultural transformation at scale, as Airtel continues to evolve its workforce and leadership priorities.

Prior to this appointment, she served as Head HR – DTH and Customer Experience at airtel. In that role, she led HR strategy and people operations for customer facing businesses, with a strong focus on aligning workforce priorities with business outcomes and experience led transformation.

Earlier, Akanksha held the position of HR Head – Organization Productivity and Transformation, followed by Circle HR Head for the Karnataka circle. Across these roles, she provided end to end HR leadership for large and diverse teams, and was closely involved in driving organizational effectiveness, productivity initiatives, and people transformation programs.

Her journey at airtel also includes roles such as HRBP – Sales and Distribution, National Learning Lead, and Head – Talent Management and Development for Karnataka. In these positions, she worked extensively on leadership capability building, learning strategy, and talent development across multiple business units.

In addition, Akanksha has handled responsibilities spanning Retail HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, and Network Talent Management. Through these assignments, she contributed to workforce planning, succession planning, learning and development, and employee engagement across regions.

With deep experience across learning, talent management, HR business partnering, and transformation, Akanksha brings a well rounded perspective to her new role. Her appointment reflects airtel’s focus on building strong culture, inclusive workplaces, and leadership capability as part of its long term people strategy.
