AI would replace humans for most things: Bill Gates

Artificial intelligence has changed the way humans think and act since OpenAI introduced ChatGPT in 2022. Although Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, and other AI chatbots are still mostly utilized as work tools, experts are worried that AI may eventually replace a number of employment across many industries.

Bill Gates, a co-founder of Microsoft, said last month that AI would replace humans for the majority of tasks. Now that businesses all over the world are using the technology, the multibillionaire gave more insights on what he believes will be future-proof in the years to come.

According to a number of publications and tech executives, such as Jensen Huang of NVIDIA, Sam Altman of OpenAI, and Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce, coders will be the first to lose their employment in the near future. However, Gates thinks humans will play a significant role in this process.

The 69-year-old went on to say that while AI won’t be able to take the position of biologists, it will be a helpful tool for tasks like DNA analysis and illness detection since it lacks the creativity necessary for scientific breakthroughs. Gates said that since energy is still too complicated to be completely automated, AI won’t take the position of specialists in the industry.

With generative AI growing more potent every day, a number of luminaries have reaffirmed that the technology will significantly alter our work processes, with AI eventually surpassing human intellect in certain fields.
