Ahold Delhaize USA has appointed Ann Dozier as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), bringing a wealth of experience from her previous role at Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. Dozier, who started her new role on February 17, takes charge of overseeing the company’s IT landscape, focusing on bolstering its omnichannel initiatives and advancing the company’s Growing Together strategy.
Before joining Ahold Delhaize, Dozier served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Technology Officer at Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, where she successfully navigated IT transformations through mergers, acquisitions, and digital advancements. Her diverse background also spans roles at global giants such as The Coca-Cola Company, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Dean Foods, and Colgate-Palmolive.
Dozier’s appointment comes in the wake of a cybersecurity breach that disrupted Ahold Delhaize USA’s operations, particularly affecting Hannaford’s online services and causing significant out-of-stock issues at Stop & Shop. This move signals the company’s resolve to strengthen its IT capabilities and secure its digital infrastructure.
In her new capacity, Dozier is entrusted with overseeing IT functions that directly support the operational needs of Ahold Delhaize’s U.S. grocery chains, ensuring seamless integration across its online and offline platforms. Additionally, she will play a pivotal role in driving the broader vision set out by the company’s Growing Together strategy.
“A proven leader, passionate about developing people and teams,” Ahold Delhaize USA’s CEO, JJ Fleeman, remarked, highlighting her immediate positive impact. Her leadership extends beyond IT, as Dozier has championed talent development in organizations such as IT Women, Women in Technology, and NextUp.
This latest leadership change is part of a broader wave of executive shifts at Ahold Delhaize USA, which recently saw Rudy DiPietro leave his role to become president of Kroger’s Dallas Division. Moreover, new appointments were made, with Greg Finchum taking over as the president of Food Lion, succeeding Meg Ham, and Roger Wheeler becoming president of Stop & Shop.
Ahold Delhaize USA’s evolving leadership reflects its commitment to navigating the ever-changing landscape of food retail, both in technology and operations, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and innovation.
