AG Barr Group has announced a key leadership appointment aimed at advancing its long-term digital priorities and business transformation goals.
Usman brings more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of technology strategy, data, and business transformation. His most recent role was at Haleon.
In his new position, Usman will play a central role in supporting AG Barr Group’s strategic ambitions. His appointment highlights the company’s focus on strengthening and accelerating its digital transformation roadmap, while using technology to improve operational efficiency and drive innovation across the business.
Prior to joining AG Barr Group, Usman Hamid brings extensive experience in global technology leadership. He most recently served as CTO – VP Enterprise Platforms at Haleon, where he led Global Enterprise Platforms across 170 markets with teams based in the US, UK, Poland, India, and China.
Earlier, Usman was VP Architecture & Engineering at GSK, where he helped build a new architecture and engineering capability and supported the de-merger that led to the formation of Haleon. Before that, he worked at Barclays as CTO – Group Technology Infrastructure & Architecture, leading global teams on large-scale technology, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture initiatives.
The company views this leadership move as a step toward building stronger digital capabilities and ensuring technology remains a key enabler of future growth.
