Advarra, a leading name in regulatory review and clinical research technology, has announced the appointment of Brian Hart as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Hart will lead the company’s technology and product strategy, driving continuous innovation across Advarra’s integrated research solutions.
Hart brings over two decades of experience in healthcare technology. Before joining Advarra, he served as CTO at a healthcare technology firm, where he was instrumental in building AI-powered platforms and scaling software development and cloud computing initiatives. He has also held key leadership roles at global healthcare technology companies, where he led the development of solutions that improved patient care and enhanced operational efficiency.
Scott Uebele, Chief Operating Officer at Advarra, said, “Brian’s guidance will be instrumental as we continue optimizing our integrated technology offerings, enhancing the customer experience, and innovating responsibly to meet the evolving needs of the clinical research community—including how we harness insights to drive smarter, more connected solutions.”
Hart steps into his new role as Advarra works to bring all its technology and products under a single, unified strategic direction. This effort aims to create scalable and intelligent solutions in areas such as ethics reviews, study start-up, operations, and tracking. The objective is to empower sponsors, contract research organisations, and clinical sites to conduct more efficient, compliant, and transparent research.
Sharing his vision, Hart said, “Advarra’s reputation for listening to its customers and turning feedback into practical, impactful solutions is one of the things that drew me to this role. I am excited to help build a better future for our industry—leveraging technology to optimise the entire clinical trial lifecycle, improve stakeholder collaboration, and ultimately benefit patients.”
