Adani Energy Solutions acquires South Kalamb Power Transmission to expand grid network

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd has strengthened its transmission portfolio by acquiring full ownership of South Kalamb Power Transmission Ltd from PFC Consulting Ltd, marking a strategic step to scale its infrastructure capabilities.

In a regulatory filing, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd confirmed that it has executed a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% equity stake in SKPTL. The deal has been completed through a cash consideration, with shares acquired at a face value of ₹10 each, resulting in complete ownership by AESL.

The company stated that the acquisition aligns with its broader strategy of expanding through both organic and inorganic routes while strengthening its power transmission portfolio. It also clarified that the transaction does not fall under related party dealings.

The addition of SKPTL is expected to enhance AESL’s transmission capabilities, supporting its growing infrastructure footprint in the sector.

Earlier in the previous month, the company secured long-term financing from a consortium of Japanese banks for its flagship high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission project. The project is aimed at improving renewable energy evacuation across northern India.

On the financial front, Adani Energy Solutions reported a 1.7% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹552.31 crore in Q3FY26, compared to ₹561.78 crore in the same period last year.

The latest acquisition reflects AESL’s continued focus on strengthening its core business and expanding its presence in India’s power transmission landscape.
