Acer Introduces Swift Air 16 and New Chromebook Plus Spin 514 at IFA 2025

Acer has unveiled its latest lineup at IFA 2025, headlined by the launch of the Acer Swift Air 16, a lightweight laptop powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors with integrated Radeon graphics. The device, weighing under 1kg, offers up to 13 hours of battery life and comes in magnesium aluminium alloy. Buyers can choose between a 16 inch WQXGA+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate or a WUXGA IPS panel with 60Hz refresh rate.

The Acer Swift Air 16 also includes features such as Recall, Click to Do and enhanced Windows Search, making it a Copilot+ PC. It supports Wi Fi 6E, Bluetooth, two USB Type C ports, a USB 3.2 Type A port and HDMI 1.4. A full HD IR camera with Windows Hello, dual microphones and dual speakers are also part of the package. Pricing begins at EUR 999 and sales start in November across EMEA regions.

Alongside, Acer launched the Chromebook Plus Spin 514, powered by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 processor with integrated NPU offering 50 TOPS AI performance. It provides up to 17 hours of battery life, a 14 inch touchscreen with WQXGA+ or WUXGA options, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The convertible design with 360 degree hinge supports multiple modes, while the chassis meets MIL STD 810H certification. Prices start at USD 699.99 in North America and EUR 699 in EMEA with availability from October. Buyers also get a 12 month Google AI Pro subscription with 2TB cloud storage.

In addition, Acer introduced two Chromebox models. The Chromebox CXI6, powered by up to Intel Core 7 150U, offers five USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB Type C port, two HDMI ports and supports four monitors. Its starting price is EUR 299 in EMEA this September. The compact Acer Chromebox Mini CXM2, equipped with Intel Core 3 N350, supports three monitors and begins at EUR 199 in EMEA. Enterprise versions of both devices include Chrome Enterprise Upgrade with advanced security and management tools.
