Accenture has added a seasoned industry leader to its senior team with the appointment of Vishal Chopra as Managing Director and GCC Lead. He will guide the firm’s work in creating and scaling next generation Global Capability Centers and will support clients in achieving strong business outcomes through advanced digital and AI enabled GCC strategies.
Vishal joins Accenture after working as an Independent Consultant and Advisor where he helped organisations refine their GCC structures, strengthen governance frameworks and advance talent transformation initiatives. His advisory work focused on helping companies maximise the potential of their global centres.
Before this role, he served as Senior Director and Center Head of Global Business Services India at a global nutrition company. He led the setup and expansion of its shared services centre and managed a team of more than one thousand three hundred professionals across multiple functions. His leadership enabled operational efficiency, transformation programmes and strong business support.
In an earlier entrepreneurial phase, he founded a consulting firm where he worked with several organisations including a consulting company, a business accelerator and a media agency. His focus areas included business strategy, stakeholder communication and startup advisory.
Vishal also held a key role at a global information services firm where he headed the GCC Strategy and Transformation function. He managed a global team of more than eleven thousand employees and worked on cost optimisation, centre of excellence models and shared services innovation, delivering significant impact across the enterprise.
Across previous leadership roles in organisations such as an education group, a research agency, an assessment organisation and a technology company, Vishal has demonstrated consistent strength in strategic planning, innovation driven consulting and GCC transformation. His experience has positioned him as a respected leader in business strategy and talent operations.
