In a significant leadership move, Accenture has announced the elevation of Akshay Bardia to the position of Managing Director, effective June 2025. In his new capacity, Bardia will continue to spearhead Data & AI initiatives and strengthen vital client partnerships within the retail, consumer goods, and travel sectors.
Bardia, who joined Accenture in 2023 as Associate Director & Canada Lead for Retail, Consumer Goods & Services, and Travel, has rapidly made an impact. He is recognized for his consistent delivery of scalable, AI-powered solutions to Fortune 500 clients, demonstrating a blend of deep technical expertise and a steadfast customer-first approach. This methodology has led to transformative outcomes for clients across North America.
Prior to his tenure at Accenture, Bardia held leadership roles at Mu Sigma Inc., where he was notable for being the youngest Business Unit Head. In this role, he managed P&Ls exceeding USD 10 million and led a global team of 350 individuals serving five Fortune 500 clients. His strategic sales efforts and execution of high-impact analytics programs across Australia, Europe, and North America resulted in a remarkable three-fold business growth. Earlier in his career, Bardia dedicated nearly six years to Fidelity Investments, leading business analytics programs and developing machine learning models.
Academically, Bardia holds a degree in Business Administration from Christ University. He has also contributed to education as a faculty member, conducting workshops for students on consulting and communication skills.
