Samsung adds Gujarati and Filipino languages to Galaxy AI

Samsung announced on Thursday, 30 October 2025, that it is expanding Galaxy AI’s language support by adding two new languages, Gujarati and Filipino. The rollout began on 29 October, taking the total number of supported languages to 22, the South Korean company said.

“As Galaxy AI continues to evolve, users in even more regions can now access its suite of intelligent features designed to make communication and productivity easier and more intuitive in everyday life,” Samsung said in a statement.

The company noted that more than 70 percent of Galaxy S25 users regularly engage with Galaxy AI and Google Gemini features. Around 47 percent of consumers rely heavily on AI in their daily lives, reflecting the growing integration of artificial intelligence in everyday use.

In India, the engagement level is significantly higher, with nearly 91 percent of Galaxy S25 users interacting with Galaxy AI features.

Galaxy AI first launched with the Galaxy S24 series and quickly gained popularity, reaching 200 million devices in 2024. Samsung now aims to expand that number to more than 400 million devices by the end of 2025.

“These features were created with deep linguistic understanding and regional insight to ensure Galaxy AI adapts naturally to the ways people communicate. The Gujarati and Filipino languages were developed in close collaboration with Samsung Research centres in India and Indonesia, respectively,” the company added.

The addition of new languages is part of Samsung’s ongoing effort to make Galaxy AI more inclusive and accessible to users across diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
