Adani Group has announced the appointment of Dr. Samir Mishra as Chief People Officer – BESS, GH2 and Electrolyzer, further strengthening its leadership team as the company accelerates its clean energy and sustainability initiatives.
In this role, Dr. Mishra will lead people strategy, leadership development, and organisational transformation across business verticals focused on energy storage, green hydrogen, and electrolyzer technologies.
Dr. Mishra brings extensive experience in human resources, organisational transformation, and talent management, built over a career spanning major industrial and infrastructure sectors. His leadership has been centred on aligning people strategy with business goals, fostering innovation, and building future-ready teams to drive large-scale transformation.
Before taking on this role, Dr. Mishra served as Head of HR at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd., where he successfully led the transition of airports from AAI to Adani management. He developed high-performing teams, strengthened corporate-campus connect initiatives, and championed sustainability-driven community engagement. Under his leadership, the HR function evolved into a key driver of operational excellence and organisational integration across the company’s expanding airport network.
Earlier, as HR Business Partner at Mumbai International Airport Limited (CSMIA), he managed talent acquisition, learning and development, employee relations, succession planning, and HR operations for a workforce of over 1,800 employees. His initiatives significantly enhanced employee engagement and leadership succession during a critical phase of operational growth.
Previously, at Adani Enterprises Limited, Dr. Mishra played a key role in talent acquisition and airport privatisation projects, working alongside global consulting firms such as KPMG, Mercer, and EY. He also held senior leadership roles at TATA Power, where he managed corporate HR, contract labour governance, and large-scale workforce mobility across locations.
Dr. Mishra’s early career at United Breweries Ltd. and Global Franchisee Franchisor Pvt. Ltd. provided him with a strong foundation in HR operations, recruitment, and marketing—skills that have shaped his success as a strategic HR leader.
His appointment reflects Adani Group’s commitment to building world-class human capital and advancing organisational excellence as it enters its next phase of growth and innovation in the green energy sector.
