Sun Life has announced the appointment of Sujoy Ghosh as Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life High Net Worth. In this role, he will lead the company’s global High Net Worth business with a focus on strengthening partnerships, expanding capabilities, and reinforcing Sun Life’s leadership in the high net worth insurance market worldwide.
Sujoy brings with him more than twenty years of international experience across Asia, Europe, and global markets. Before joining Sun Life, he spent nearly eight years at Citi. His most recent role there was Managing Director, Global Head of Insurance for Citi Global Wealth and Asia Head of Business Development, where he played a key role in driving growth and building strategic partnerships across APAC and EMEA. He also served as Head of Insurance for APAC and EMEA during his time at Citi.
Prior to Citi, Sujoy worked with Allianz as Region Head of Partnerships, where he was responsible for building and growing B2B and B2B2C businesses across Asia. He also held leadership positions at ING, including Chief Sales Officer and Management Board Member at ING Turkey, and was involved in strategic planning and bancassurance initiatives across Asia Pacific, including ING Life Thailand.
Earlier in his career, Sujoy worked at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as Vice President and Head of Human Resources for Consumer Banking in India. He later moved into leadership roles at Coca-Cola Enterprises, gaining valuable experience in commercial operations and strategy.
With his proven expertise in financial services, insurance, and strategic partnerships, Sujoy’s leadership is expected to further accelerate Sun Life’s High Net Worth business on a global scale.
